Now that the 16 Open AAU Championship Bracket is set, we’re pleased to report that, in our predictions, we chose 11 of the 14 teams correctly. It didn’t fall as perfectly as we thought it might with another tie-breaker round and three-team crossover elimination match.

Munciana Ninjas had a successful 3-0 day, but that story’s details include two three-set matches, once to Academy 16 Diamond (22-25, 25-20, 15-8). SynergyForce 16 National needed to beat Munciana to avoid any tie-breaker, but taking them to three sets (19-25, 25-22, 15-10) put SynergyForce at the top of those three teams tied at 1-2 to earn the bye.
