Gold pools started (eventually) Sunday night in both 15 and 17 Open. A5 Mizuno 17-1 Jing and HJV 17 Elite were to play the second match in Gold Pool 2, which was scheduled for 7 pm. The teams began warming up for the match at 8:52 pm. And that wasn’t even the pool that was the farthest behind.

The second gold pool in 17 Open was backed up even more. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any of it as the second gold pool was in Building A on Court 68. The other gold pools were on Courts 1, 2 and 3 in Building C. Given the 20-minute walk from one building to another, it just wasn’t happening Sunday night.
