Challenging Conditions at Cleveland Rock 'N Rumble (Day 1)

The two-day JVA Rock ‘N Rumble tournament over MLK weekend in Cleveland began Saturday morning. Then, it was a crispy and gray day. By midafternoon the locals said, “It’s not that bad!” By the time I left the convention center around 8 PM, snow was past my ankles and it was whipping sideways! I’m not in the South anymore, Toto!

Aside from that, the conditions outside were nearly forgotten once the first whistle blew and the focus became the condition of each team, many who were competing for the first time together this season. The tournament itself is extremely organized and even ran ahead of schedule – got to love that. You can see the Stars of Day 1, here. Instead of putting together a long list of play-by-play events, I noted five things that caught my eye on Saturday at R’NR in different divisions. Here they are…
