Club 2021: A Look at Ten 18s Teams

Colorado Jrs (CO) and AVC (OH) 18s are two teams we highlight this week as we prepare our first 2021 Club Rankings list of the season.

Our first 2021 Pre-season 18s Club Rankings list is coming soon (followed by 17s, 16s, and 15s, of course)! Until then, we thought we’d highlight ten 18s teams we’re excited to see in person very soon! There are many, many more that we can’t wait to cover, and the teams listed below are not necessarily those that will make the top-10.

If you are a club coach and/or director and have not filled out our forms to let us know about your team, please do so here. We cannot write about what we do not know!

Let’s see what’s changed, what’s the same, and what we can
expect from some big players in the 18s game!

A5 Mizuno 18-Scott (Georgia) – Last year’s Triple Crown
National Invitational Tournament (NIT) 17s winner returns almost the entire
roster this season. Scott Shelley stays at the 18s age group to take the experienced
team under his wing. The A5 staff has said how excited they are because of the
depth and talent throughout the team, the improved returners, as well as a few
new talented pieces added to the group. Jacque Boney (Michigan) and Ngozi
Iloh
(Duke) will team up again in the middle as setter Kalissa Greene
(Stanford) and libero Emery Dupes (Florida State) have become some of
the best in their respective positions, nationally. Setter Claire Lewis,
formerly of A5 South, has come over to give the Atlanta-area another dedicated
pair of hands. Versatile 6-3 hitter Kate Perryman (Air Force) could make
an impact, and junior libero/DS Meredith Moody has also joined the group,
traveling all the way from Nashville to work in the A5 gym.
