Disney: Top Select, Triangle Take 17 Open Bids

A bid is something Top Select 17 Elite Blake no longer needs after ruling 17 Open in Orlando.

If’s updated National 17s Club Rankings held firm, the race for the two 17 Open bids was a four-team affair over the weekend at the Disney Showcase.

That’s because the top teams in the field featured No. 14 Summit, No. 21 OTVA, No. 23 Top Select and No. 29 Triangle. Woodlands Revolution, at No. 55, was the only other ranked team participating. It was going to take something out of the ordinary to keep the two bids from landing in the hands of the higher-ranked clubs.

As the gold pools took shape for Sunday, Pool 1 featured OT and Triangle, along with ProStyle 17 Black Gokhan. The other gold pool contained Summit and Top Select, along with WD Nation 17 Adidas. The stakes were clear. Each of the two pools winners would advance to the final and clinch bids.
