Laguna Beach seemed destined to miss Junior Nationals this season. Now, the club is the 18 Open silver medalists. Here is how the unexpected journey unfolded.

Laguna Beach setter Jessie Harris and the rest of her teammates seemed destined to miss Junior Nationals. Now, they are 18 Open silver medalists.

Over the years, they had spent hundreds of hours in this building.

Yet, as Laguna Beach players walked out of the American Sports Center in Anaheim that Saturday afternoon back in March, they had never felt so low leaving the familiar floors.

It was a terrible feeling, the thought of not attending Junior Nationals reverberating over and over.
