Due to COVID-19 travel and safety protocols, PrepVolleyball will be using BallerTV to supplement in-person coverage of many events this season. BallerTV is on a mission to connect the youth volleyball community through the power of live-streaming. With over 150 volleyball partners, BallerTV is streaming hundreds of matches on any given weekend.

Last weekend was the 18s National Qualifier opener and two events successfully awarded three 18 Open bids at each. In Indianapolis at the Girls Winter Volleyball Championships up against a difficult field, No. 16 Mintonette m.81 took home the Gold. No. 12 MKE Sting 18 Gold was the runner-up and No. 20 MiElite 18 Mizuno edged out FC Elite 18 Elite for the third and final bid. Nothing was easy, and everything lined up for Mintonette to earn a bid to 18s USAV Nationals on its first try which will be held in their home city of Columbus, Ohio.

“The field of teams at this first tournament was, quite honestly, a little intimidating,” admitted Mintonette coach Audrey Flaugh. “Looking across the net, I was seeing soon-to-be collegiate players going to various top-level college programs.”
