There’s no question that the 16 and 17 Open fields at the Northern Lights Qualifier (NLQ) have made it the most difficult qualifier of the season. After all, at the end of the weekend in 17 Open, nearly 40-percent of the field had an Open bid – that’s 11 of the 28 teams!

Because there were ten who entered the tournament already with a bid and the trickle-down process only reached the eighth-place finisher, we only saw a single bid handed out in Minneapolis in the division.
