DALLAS – JJVA 17N CJ head coach CJ Sherman is hoping the third time is the charm this weekend at the 2019 Mizuno Lone Star Classic. After all, her Jacksonville, Florida-based team has traveled nearly 1,000 miles for its latest USAV National Qualifier in Dallas.

Having finished as runner-up in 17 American in both the Sunshine Classic in Orlando and the Big South Qualifier in Atlanta, top-seeded Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association (JJVA) is serving up notice its plans to make another gold bracket run. The North Florida team went 3-0 in Round 1 pool play on Friday, but needed three sets to hold off upset-minded Aggie Elite 17 National 25-22, 10-25, 15-11 in the final match of the day.
