Non-Stop Drama at NLQ (Day 2)
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

The second day of competition in Minneapolis had no shortage of drama. Between teams needing to win matches at the right time, deciding ties based on sets, and a team with an illegal player on the roster, the 17 and 18 Open divisions kept us on our toes at the Northern Lights Qualifier (NLQ).

The final brackets have been decided and teams are hunting for one of the three bids available in each division. Let’s get to five of the biggest storylines from Saturday at NLQ!

1 - MKE Sting 18 Gold technically went 3-0 on the day, beating APEX1 18-Black, MN Select 18-1, and COAST 18-1… but its official record by the end of the day was 2-1 with a third-place finish. That’s because Sting had an illegal roster and was forced to forfeit one of its matches after the fact.
