INDIANAPOLIS – Club volleyball teams made a mad dash for gold – the bracket, that is – during a highly frenetic second round of play Saturday at the 2019 Nike Mideast Qualifier.

With three Juniors Nationals bids set to be awarded in the USA division and one in the American division, players on 16s and 17s teams gave fans plenty to root for during Round 2 pool play and crossover and Challenge matches at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.

When the smoke had cleared, a total of 64 teams – 16 apiece in the 16 American, 16 USA, 17 American and 17 USA divisions – had earned a spot in their respective Gold brackets.
