TCS NIT: Which Team Impressed the Most on Day 1?

The majority of our Triple Crown Sports NIT coverage is going to happen post event. That’s the reality with the days split between morning and afternoon waves. Of course, Day 1 personally wasn’t split between waves as much as it was split between states. 

For me, the day started off Saturday morning in Las Vegas, having covered our Unsigned Showcase there Friday. Landing in Kansas City at noon, I missed the morning wave, or the 18s and 16s division. The good news is though I did catch the 17s and 15s, the latter being the most important considering that age group is all new to us. In fact, the Day 1 Star Search is 15s heavy. 

For now, here are five thoughts from the opening day:
