Triple Crown NIT vs. National Qualifiers

Recently we took a look at the national qualifiers in 15-17 Open to see if we could identify the toughest one of the season.

Before qualifying season kicked off in those age groups, however, there was the Triple Crown Sports NIT in February. How did that event measure up against the toughest qualifiers? In terms of teams that eventually qualified for Open, Triple Crown blew any national qualifier out of the water. That’s to be expected if you remember the strength and depth of fields in Kansas City.
