USAV: 16 National Divides to Final Eight
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

As the Indiana Convention Center slowly emptied on Friday evening, the 16 National division was still at it, tuning out the workers cleaning up empty water bottles the next court over and the fact that the 17s division had handed out all of its medals a couple of hours prior.

Sixteen teams remained after the afternoon pool play when just five of the eight top seeds advanced to the 5 PM Challenge Rounds and just as many Challenge matches went to three sets. By 6:30 in the evening, eight teams remained as the elite group who would compete for 16 National Gold on Saturday.
