For a team that finished tied for fifth in Open at MEQ and started off in the 17 National division as the No. 3 overall seed a the USAV Junior National Championships, Michio Chicago 17 National was as dangerous as anyone aspiring to reach the top of the podium.
Even for someone like that, winning it all takes a bit of luck, which seemed to be avoiding Michio like the plague in its quest for gold. Michio lost on Day 2 in a heartbreaker to Dynasty 17 Black. As a result, Michio landed in a Day 3 pool with second-seeded W Revolution 17 Premier. A loss there kept the hits coming, as now Michio was matched with No. 1 overall seed Absolute Black 17-1 in challenge play.
