USAV Returns to Play – But Not Everyone is Following Suit

Dynasty is hopeful it can return to play soon as the 15s team has qualified for USAV Nationals. But, local government hasn’t yet lifted restrictions.

While USA Volleyball (USAV) has outlined its Return to Play Guidelines and resumed sanctioning events as of May 15th, not every USAV club is able and/or willing to jump back into practices so freely. USAV itself has said that its insurance coverage “will only be provided for activities that are allowed” by each program’s state and local guidelines.

We spoke with staff members from several clubs around the U.S.
that weren’t quite opened yet to see what they’re up to, anyway. Sure, it’s
disappointing to not be able to play just yet, but we’re seeing a great deal of
creativity and joy about what is still possible.
