Wolverine Commit Jacque Boney, Ready to Attack

The University of Michigan has made an agreement with its first 2021 recruit, Jacque Boney, a 6-4 middle blocker from Marist HS (Georgia) and A5 16-1 Gabe.

Maybe you know her name? Boney and her A5 15s teammates finished 5th at AAU Nationals and USAV Nationals in 15 Open a year ago. This fall, her Class 4A Marist high school team also finished the season as the runner-up in the State to St. Pius X. But, it was Boney who had the match-high kills on either side with 13 in the four-set match.

As the No. 10 ranked 16s teams in the pre-season, the expectation to better two fifth-place finishes is a big ask. With the same core group of players returning, Boney said her team is up for the challenge to better its finish as 15s.
