The dozen players making up the USA Women’s Junior National Team finally know their summer plans.

Imagine being an incoming freshman and not knowing when you are going to actually get to college? Imagine being a college coach and not knowing when that incoming freshman is arriving?

The uncertainty started a couple weeks ago when Cyprus pulled out as the host site of the U20 FIVB World Championships. That is the WJNT was scheduled to go.

But even with Puerto Rico announced as the new location, dates were still not set and that left everything in flux. When the new dates came out, the competition was moved from early July to the middle of September.

That’s college season and that didn’t work for the WJNT members. Now, the WJNT is going to the Global Challenge on July 13-16 in Pula, Croatia.
