PVB’s Final 2017 18s National Rankings

The choice for No. 1 wasn’t an easy one, as the debate still might not be settled. See our pick for the top spot, plus the rest of the Top 60 and Honorable Mentions in our final 18s rankings of 2017.

Last year, the debate wasn’t really one at all.

Sports Performance, the 2016 AAU 18 Open National Champion, defeated MN Select 18-1 – the USAV 18 Open champion – in Orlando.

Cut and dry.

This year, not so much.

The debate is a good one.

It centers between AAU 18 Open champ Munciana 18 Samurai and USAV 18 Open gold medalist KC Power 18-1. There are no simple head-to-head results to easily settle it.

And without ever really knowing answers to hypothetical questions like which team would win head-to-head, could Muncie win gold in Dallas, or could KC Power hang with a schedule like Muncie’s, we are left looking at what we do know.
