The biggest news of the offseason continues to be the major coaching changes taking place around the country.
The latest involves long-time Long Beach State women’s volleyball coach Brian Gimmillaro. In another announcement sure to send shockwaves through the coaching community, Gimmillaro made it public Thursday that he is retiring after 27 years at the helm.
“I can’t tell you how much this university, the players, and the community has meant to me. It is important for me to explore other opportunities,” said Gimmillaro in the school’s press release. “I will miss all of you.”
