PVB Player of the Week

— Adora Anae, Utah, Sr, OH

Anytime a player becomes the all-time kills leader for their school it’s special. That’s what Anae did last week, setting the all-time mark which she’ll continue adding to. She currently sits at 1,635 winners. The old record was set by Kim Turner with 1,620. However, not only did Anae ascend to the top of the charts, she helped the Utes pick up a victory over a team Utah has never beaten on the road. That changed when Anae recorded 25 kills and 11 digs and Utah downed Washington in five games for the Utes’ first win over the Huskies in Seattle. Anae turned around and delivered 20 kills and 16 digs as Utah defeated Washington State in four games two days later, as the Utes sit one game back of Stanford in the Pac-12 standings.
