Recruiting Dish: Building in the Big Ten Takes Time

Time will tell if Maryland can climb the Big Ten standings, but the Terps certainly have been winning some recruiting battles.

Sam Csire was the latest sign that Maryland's recruiting keeps getting stronger.

One of the most intriguing recruiting races is taking place at Maryland.

The daunting task of building up a program in a conference as stacked as the Big Ten was one former Penn State assistant Steve Aird welcomed with open arms when he took over in 2014.

What we’ve seen since indicates at least one thing. The recruiting game has been strong.

The Class of 2016 group was ranked No. 16 in PVB’s Top 30 Recruiting Class Rankings. The Terps then jumped to No. 10 this past season.

The good news is both classes are already paying off.

The even better news is it doesn’t seem to be slowing down, at least judging by the current commits who have verballed.
