The U.S. Girls Youth National Team Has Been Selected to Compete in Egypt

On Friday, USA Volleyball announced the U.S. Girls Youth National Team (GYNT) made up of 12 athletes from across the country. These 12 were selected after training from July 17-26 in Colorado Springs, Colorado with a total of 24 athletes originally named to the U.S. Girls Youth National Training Team. Players eligible to compete in this age division must have been born in 2002 or 2003.

The players who make up the GYNT will represent the U.S. in Cairo, Egypt at the FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship from September 5-14. Nine of these players were members of the 2018 GYNT (denoted below by *).

    The team was selected to compete in Egypt? I think you mean the Girls Youth National Team selected the players who will represent the US in Egypt.
