Volleyball for the Rest of Us: Start the Bus

[Editor’s note: Three years ago, before he left coaching to pursue other interests, a Tennessee high school volleyball coach originated a series of articles on Prep called “Volleyball for the Rest of Us.” They were designed to explain the challenges that schools without elite players face; in other words, the majority of high school teams (and clubs) in America; as well as offer suggestions on what to do about it. Now, several years later, Iowa high school coach Kurt Trout takes on the subject of “Volleyball for the Rest of Us.” We hope you enjoy it. Anyone wanting to send Trout suggestions for future articles may reach him at kurtis-trout@uiowa.edu ]
