We’ve asked high school coaches to begin thinking about the 2018 season to let us in on what it’s going to be like in the hunt for a championship season. While club teams are preparing for Nationals in Orlando and Detroit, the rest of us can begin to dream about the upcoming high school season this fall.

John Tawa will continue with high school rankings, so I won’t begin to speculate on who might win a State Championship title this early. With the help from high school coaches, we’ll cover a handful of teams to watch in 2018 in the coming weeks. Check out last week's edition with more teams.

Below are 10 high school teams we know a little about so far including the tournaments they will attend this fall.

I hope that we can indulge in a “third scoop” that includes Lewis-Palmer High school, Monument, CO. 🙂 These girls have won four of the past five 4A state championships, including wins over eventual 5A and 3A state champs the past two seasons. They’ve been honored by MaxPreps’ TOC for two of those seasons, including last year. The 2018 roster has 7 players that have already committed to DI schools and there are at least a few others that will play at the next level somewhere. GO RANGERS!!!

Padua Franciscan High School, Parma OH., just won OHSAA DII State back to back, which is the second time since ’08 & 09 back to back championships. Graduating only a Libero and DS, the Bruins are looking to compete in the OHSAA DI division this fall. Look out OHSAA the Bruins are coming!

Our “scoops” include schools that have taken the time to complete our form. Nothing from L-P yet, but that’s not unusual. To date we have 104 completed forms on our way to 1,000 or more…
