On Thursday, PrepVolleyball.com will release its first in-season Century Club Top 100 National High School Rankings, presented by Team Snap, of 2015. Our pre-season No. 1, Indianapolis Cathedral, remains undefeated at 15-0. No. 2 St. James Academy has rebounded from an opening-day upset to No. 26 Olathe Northwest to win four straight, including three over nationally-ranked teams. Three other teams in our top 10 have gotten off to unbeaten starts, Texas powers Lovejoy and Southlake Carroll remain firmly rooted in the Texas top five 30 matches in, both Archbishop Mitty and Wheaton St. Francis are trying to recover from early-season upset losses and Arizona Division I champion Desert Vista, No. 7 in our ranking, took its first loss yesterday at No. 13 Gilbert.

We at Prep delight, every year, in learning about upstart or underdog teams making their mark on their respective states or across state lines. We asked high school coaches this week to tell us about those Surprising Teams. We present many of them below.
