Brentwood’s Campbell Returned to Boost Bruins at State
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

Tennessee’s Brentwood HS (38-3) captured its eighth consecutive State title this week after making its 23rd trip to the State tournament in the last 28 years. The five Bruins seniors ended each season of their high school careers on top. Longtime coach Barbara Campbell earned her 16th State Championship and the Bruins won their eighth-straight this season.

They did it through the uncertainties, quarantines, and time throughout the season without their legendary coach, Campbell. Campbell suffered a stroke earlier this fall and has been away from her team since September due to health concerns. On the final match, however, “Queen” Campbell made her return to the bench to give the Bruins one final push to win the Division I Class AAA crown.
