Durango Fall Classic On Hold Until 2021

The Durango Fall Classic (DFC), One of, if not the nation’s most prestigious high school tournaments, has been cancelled for the 2020 season. The event has run for 25 consecutive years in Las Vegas, Nevada. Last year, 64 teams were in attendance, pulled from nine different states.

Historically, teams that played at the DFC or any of the big tournaments of the year – Nike Tournament of Champions or the LIVT, for example – knew that playing in Durango would put in their bid to be in contention for the PrepVolleyball.com High School National Championship title. This year, those can still play this fall will have to battle without Durango and Cathedral Catholic (CA) remains the most recent DFC champion for one more year.

The DFC website stated its cancellation this year, postponing it until September 17-18, 2021:
