HS Players Serving Up Trouble

Many people will agree that volleyball is a serving and passing game. But, serving is sometimes an overlooked skill in training and recruiting great servers, and we don’t always recognize those who set the tone for the game by being exceptional servers.

A player may average anywhere from 200-400 service attempts each season and that means that the opening contact to the rally has the potential for 400 points either way, for ace or error. We recognize that great serving can lead to great team success, and earning an ace is just one way to be a great server.

We’ve asked high school coaches to submit his or her best game-changing servers who do so much for a team, often with little credit. Below are 29 standout servers in the high school game who serve up trouble for her opponents.
