'Most' of Michigan Waits on Governor's Word to Open Gyms and Play Ball

Last week the Michigan High School Athletic Association made the difficult decision of postponing football until the Spring. However, the MHSAA has been doing everything possible to escape the same fate for other Fall sports. However, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is making that a challenge. The governor's moratorium on indoor sports facilities, gymnasiums, and indoor swimming pools was only lifted in two of eight regions of the state, the northern Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula. That leaves most of the state still running practices and workouts outside on the sand and grass since August 12.
