No. 1 Redondo Union Hosts No. 4 Mater Dei in Rivalry Match

No. 1 Redondo Union will face three top-10 teams while setter Kami Miner is away playing with the USA GYNT.

On Thursday, two of the best volleyball programs in the
state of California will face off in a non-conference rivalry match. The 2018 CIF
and California state title winner, No. 4 Mater Dei, will travel 35 miles
north to face No. 1 Redondo Union.

Traditionally, both teams have been in the top five in the state and top 20 nationally. Redondo, now 10-0, lost to Mater Dei in the Open state semifinals a year ago and in the last five meetings, Mater Dei has earned the win against the Sea Hawks. In fact, the last time that Redondo beat Mater Dei was in 2015.
