Pandas Prevail In Delaware State Championship
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

Under the bright lights of the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center, the two best teams in Delaware squared off for state supremacy. Fourth-seeded Padua took on the second-seeded St. Mark's surrounded by a sea of fans. When the dust settled, the Pandas prevailed in four sets, 25-16, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23. Both teams out of Wilmington were hungry, in search of their next championship. Padua has made the championship just two years prior in 2017, but came up short in a five set loss to Ursuline. St. Mark's hadn't sniffed a championship since its back to back final wins in 2010 and 2011. Suffice to say, these two teams were ready to do whatever it took to bring home the gold.
