Preview and Predictions for Chicago's Asics Challenge
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

The Chicago Asics Challenge gets underway on Friday and the Windy City welcomes 24 teams from seven states for the two-day tournament. It begins with eight pools of three teams and only the top-finishing team from the first day will advance to the Gold bracket to play for first on Saturday.

To win the crown, a team will have to win three matches on the final day – that’s five matches in two days. Sound easy enough? It won’t be with six teams in the field ranked in the latest top 100 – that’s one-quarter of everyone competing.

We’ll be covering the event remotely this year, but if you’re interested in watching, Baller TV is streaming the tournament.

Here are the teams that will play in Chicago and are ranked in the October 3 top 100 National Rankings:

  • No. 5 Assumption (KY)
  • No. 25 Skutt Catholic (NE)
  • No. 29 Marist (IL)
  • No. 53 Sandburg (IL)
  • No. 87 Huntley (IL)
  • No. 96 Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (NY)

Let’s meet the teams and predict who will win this tough, yet tremendously fun tournament!
