2019 HS Improvement Award Winner: Pape’s Rise To Lightning Star

Breanna Pape, the 2019 Improvement Award Winner

We asked high school coaches around the country to submit players for our Improvement Award, last bestowed in 2010. Designated to high school juniors and seniors, this award is given to a player who has shown massive improvements since last year and/or throughout the season.

When asking for submissions, we were not only looking for a team’s Most Improved Player but those who have made noteworthy strides against other players across the country, too. This honor recognizes the hard work a player has put in all year, both on and off the court.

Many nominees have excelled in new positions and others have finally earned a starting position. You can view all the nominees, here.
