National HS Rankings’s Top 100 National HS Rankings (Oct. 11)

The Top 25 held steady for the most part but as the postseason looms there is always the threat of upsets and shakeups around the corner. We’ll see if next week brings any. For now, while the teams at the top mostly stayed put, there was plenty of movement elsewhere. After seeing just six teams enter the Top 100 last week, 11 fell out (or 11 moved in) this week.

A lot of it had to do with the results chain. Sometimes, one team losing is bad news for others who have lost to said team. That was the case this week as Alabama’s McGill-Toolen was upended by Niceville from Florida. The loss knocked McGill-Toolen from the ranks, as well as a handful of schools whose main defeat came to McGill-Toolen. As a result, we have some newcomers this week. They are:

  • Buchanan (California)
  • Foothill (California)
  • Hamilton (Arizona)
  • Harvard-Westlake (California)
  • Keller (Texas)
  • Lone Peak (Utah)
  • Long Beach Poly (California)
  • Marian (Nebraska)
  • Mason (Ohio)
  • Plano (Texas)
  • Sacred Heart (Kentucky)’s National HS Rankings (Top 100 Plus Honorable Mentions)
