National HS Rankings’s Top 100 National HS Rankings (Sept. 13)

The activity level settled down some after a large turnover in teams from our Pre-Season National Rankings to our initial weekly release of the Top 100 last week, when more than 20 teams made their debuts.

This week, that number didn’t get nearly as high, as six schools make their way into the rankings for the first time. They are as follows:

  • Bishop’s (CA)
  • Nazareth Academy (IL)
  • Northville (MI)
  • Sterling (IL)
  • St. Henry (KY)
  • St. Ursula Academy (OH)

Another program, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, returns to the Top 100. Only one school ranked in last week’s Top 50 is not in this week’s Top 100. That is La Costa Canyon of California, as the Mavericks lost to unranked Mira Costa to fall out. Both Lansing of Kansas and Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks of California made their Top 100 debuts last week but suffered losses and moved out this week. Overall, there was very little shifting in the Top 20. That could change a lot next week as plenty of top teams are headed to Las Vegas this weekend to compete at the Durango Fall Classic.
