The Penn State Girls Volleyball Day Camp is open to students entering grades 1-8 next fall.
The Penn State Girls Volleyball Position Camps are open to students entering grades 8-12 next fall.
The Penn State Girls Volleyball Team Training Camp and Team Competition Camp are open to students entering grades 9-12 (varsity and junior varsity teams) next fall.
The Penn State Girls Volleyball Team Tournament Camp is open to students entering grades 8-12 (varsity and junior varsity teams) next fall.
Instructional Camp: June 28-July 1
Under the guidance of an expert teaching staff, this all-skills camp consists of lectures, demonstrations, individual and team drills. This camp is designed to teach fundamentals and provide an opportunity for individual skill development: serving, passing, defense, attacking, blocking and setting. Players will be grouped by age and experience so they can train in a safe and fun environment. The training facilities are within walking distance from the dorms and dining commons, which feature a world class menu and Penn State Creamery ice cream. Traditionally, this camp fills up very quickly, so sign up early to reserve your spot!
Who: Students grades 7-12
Fees:
$490 resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)

Position and Skills Camp: July 1-3
The Position and Skills Camp consists of individual skill development, positional training and team drills. Campers will register at one of three positions: setter, libero/defensive specialist or front court player (outside hitter, middle blocker, and opposite). Campers will be grouped according to age and experience. There will also be an opportunity to develop individual skills in a team concept with matches. The training facilities are within walking distance from the dorms and dining commons, which feature a world class menu and Penn State Creamery ice cream.

Team Training Camp: July 6-9
This camp provides varsity and junior varsity teams the opportunity to train as a team with the assistance of an outstanding coaching staff. Individual skills will be taught along with offensive and defensive systems and wash drills. The focus of the camp will be training, teaching, individual skills and team systems. Daily competitions and an end-of-camp tournament will be featured. Teams will have access to extra gym time, outstanding facilities and all of the amenities of the Penn State Campus, including dorms within walking distance of the training facilities and a world class dining hall. Bring your team to train, learn and prepare for your volleyball season!

Volleyball Day Camp: July 2-4
Penn State’s Volleyball Day Camp is designed to provide girls with the opportunity to learn volleyball skills in a relaxed and fun environment. The Penn State coaching staff, along with current Penn State women’s players, will work with the campers teaching basic volleyball fundamentals, skills, footwork, exercises and games. Campers are grouped according to age, ability, experience, maturity and competitive spirit. Also, because this camp features an excellent coach-to-camper ratio, campers receive supervision, encouragement and excellent instruction. Campers receive a camp shirt. The day camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Come learn and have fun playing with Penn State Women’s Volleyball!

Position Camps: July 6-8 or July 16-18
The Position Camps will train campers in their desired position. Campers will register at one of three positions: setter, libero/defensive specialist or front court player (outside hitter, middle blocker, opposite).The first half of the camp will be dedicated to training your specific position and learning advanced techniques. The second half of the camp will be spent combining all positions to play wash drills (4v4, 5v5 and 6v6). All campers will receive training on various serving techniques. Campers will be grouped according to age and experience. The training facilities are within walking distance from the dorms and dining commons, which feature a world class menu and Penn State Creamery ice cream.

Team Competition Camp: July 16-18
Varsity and junior varsity teams will train and compete for 3 days. Every team that attends will view a demonstration of individual skills and team concepts, followed by a brief training session and wash drills. The remainder of the camp will be spent competing in a ladder style tournament with officials. Teams will have access to extra gym time, outstanding facilities and all the amenities of the Penn State campus. This camp offers an outstanding way to prepare your varsity and JV team for a successful fall season.

Team Tournament Camp: July 24-26
Teams from across the country will be on campus competing in different divisions to win the Penn State Volleyball Team Tournament Camptrophy. This camp will feature officiated matches, playoff brackets and championship trophies and t-shirts. The first session will allow the teams to watch demonstrations of individual and team skills and participate in a two hour practice. After that, it’s tournament time! Penn State Volleyball players and staff will be on hand to officiate and administrate the camp tournament. Come compete for the Penn State Team Tournament Camp trophy at the campus of one of the best volleyball programs in the country!

For all team camps, teams must bring a minimum of eight or up to a maximum of 14 players. Also, if you are bringing more than one team, fill out a completed copy of the team roster for each team.
Recreation
During camp, participants may spend their free time enjoying Penn State’s many recreational facilities, including the outdoor swimming pool.
