DENVER – Wednesday’s massive snowstorm in Denver may have prevented some teams from making the trip to the Colorado Crossroads, but those who braved delays and some frigid weather heated up the volleyball courts in convincing fashion Friday on opening day of the second weekend of competition.
Teams from coast to coast competed in 16s, 17s and 18s divisions, with individual performances wowing spectators, players and coaches. Teams in the 16U divisions opened Round 1 pool play at 8 a.m. and many 17U and 18U squads played well after 9 p.m.
