Outside temperatures hovered in the 30s but volleyball teams turned in some red-hot play during opening day of the 2024 Adidas Lone Star 18s qualifier at the Austin Convention Center.

Teams from coast to coast went toe to toe in pool play on Friday, making this early-season qualifier an especially exciting and surprising one considering many players are just two months removed from state playoffs in their respective states.
