INDIANAPOLIS – Athletes from across the country helped teams turn in stunning performances Tuesday in the first round of pool play in the 17 National division at the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships.
Five of the eight top seeds fell to defeat on opening day of the four-day tournament, setting up what should be a wild finish as teams fight for bids in Friday’s medal rounds. Here are some of the players who shined:
