FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

For many athletes, the most recent update out of New York comes as a positive one. On August 24, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that high school sports can now begin practicing on September 21, and some may begin competition shortly after, keyword being 'some.' The Empire State's volleyball community will be waiting to hear about its status until later this week, as it is considered a 'high risk' sport, a change that came along with Cuomo's announcement, with no word specifically about volleyball's Fall status. State championships have already been cancelled.
