Walking into the gym at Durango High School Saturday morning, I was immediately struck by the familiar even though I hadn’t been to the Durango Fall Classic since 2016. I was greeted at the entrance by folks who’d been taking money and handing out wristbands for many years. The large, white results boards were being updated by another familiar face. The court set up was the same, the referees were old friends and the rhythm of play took me back to my first time coming to Vegas for this tournament back in 2002.
