When one of the most outstanding middle blockers in the age group is asked to take on another role for her team, the risk is immense. If it doesn’t pan out as a success, coaches risk diminishing confidence and team trust. But, when everything clicks and an athlete’s potential doubles by making the move, such as it did with Jordan Middleton of Arizona Storm Elite 15 Thunder, good things happen… really good things.

“Jordan started the season as a three-rotation middle blocker,” said Storm coach and club director Terri Spann, “but then I quickly started noticing the importance of leaving her on the court for six rotations. She’s just too dominant as a volleyball player attacking both front row and back! We also needed her vocal leadership on the court.”
