FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

On the first day of USAV Nationals in 17 American, the fourth seed in Pool 4, ACE 17 UA, faced top-seeded A2 17 Green in the last match of the day. Only the best three teams would advance after the two days of pool play and winning this game would give ACE a 3-0 advantage heading into Day 2.

It took three sets and a major turnaround in the second. Only two points in each chapter were the difference, but ACE rallied to win one of the biggest matches of its season (23-25, 26-24, 15-13).

ACE coach Sami Bullon said, “If you want to win a medal here, you’ve got to get those wins; you’ve got to find a way to win those games. They really grinded out this one, so I’m really proud of them.”
