USAV: Cuts Made in 15 Open and USA On Day 2

Shout out to the two (we think North Pacific Jrs?) parents rocking Wu-Tang shirts on Day 2 of the 15s division at the USAV GJNC in Indianapolis. We are guessing there’s not a big crossover between the two – Wu-Tang and girls volleyball – but we could be wrong.

The Wu-Tang logo was created by producer Mathematics. And that’s exactly what was needed at the end of the first round of pool play in 15 Open – mathematics. Or more accurately, a strong understanding of the tiebreaker procedures that vary quite a bit from what most of us are used to or experience during the qualifying season.

All six pools in 15 Open ended with three-way ties in one form or another. If you didn’t know any better, you would be confused in trying to figure out some of the apparent discrepancies.  

The order to sort through the three-way ties goes like this:
