Scores of clubs from across the Northeast and Atlantic Coast and even from Arizona and Texas ventured to the nation’s capital on Saturday for the three-day event that has become one of the premier tournaments over President’s Day weekend with the hometown Metro Volleyball Club led the way with unbeaten starts across the 18 Open, 17 Open, 16 Open and 15 Open divisions. Metro 16 Travel and Metro 15 Travel both entered as No. 1 seeds in their respective divisions and held fast with 3-0 starts in opening-round pool play. In 18 Open, Jersey Jrs 18 National Green and Metro 18 Travel are the top two seeds and both swept past their opponents. In 17 Open, Metro 17 Travel  second and powered to 3-0 records.
