With the creation of the Top 150 player lists in each class, which will allow athletes to move up (or down) several times per year, PrepVolleyball.com will also update the college Recruiting Class Rankings a few times each year for the 2021 and 2022 classes based on the information we have. (Take a look at the Class of 2021 Recruiting Rankings!)
In the past, we’ve had one single college recruiting class ranking based on projected success at the collegiate level. Going forward, beginning in an athlete's junior year, we will put together a list of recruiting classes and update and expand the list as the classes also grow over time.
We can’t predict the future, but we can talk about the best collective groups of athletes now. As players approach high school graduation and they look ahead to playing on their respective college teams, their place among their peers, in theory, will essentially be the same as their projection at the next level (with the exception of some raw potential-type athletes!).
Below, we deliver 15 ranked programs from No. 1 to No. 15, with 20 more programs listed that are right there. This is not a final ranking, but the first installment of our ongoing college class rankings! Let's have some fun!
Many of the recruits mentioned here have already proven their success in club and/or high school and are using their last year to put some polish on. Who is the No. 1 Class of 2022?
Please note that players outside of the U.S. and beach players were not considered. Please send corrections, omissions, and commitments to rankings@prepvolleyball.com.
