We’ve got a lot of teams and names squeezed into this article. It’s impressive, it’s overwhelming, and it will be thrilling to finally get a real-life view of the 15s age division athletes for the first time this season at the Triple Crown National Invitational Tournament (NIT) in Kansas City.
There will be 41 teams of the 50 we have ranked in our Preseason National Rankings in attendance. Additionally, we released the Frosh 59 list on Monday and 24 of those athletes will compete in the 15s division in KC – 18 of those being in one of the four power pools.
The 15s division has 25 pools (A through Y). Four (A-D) of those are power pools, consisting of eight teams in each. Consider those teams “safe” on Day 1. They will play on Saturday to be re-seeded heading into Day 2, Sunday, for single-elimination competition. Some of the non-power pools allow one team through and 11 others will grant two teams to the next Gold round. You can download the bracket flow chart, here.
Below, we reveal each of the power pools, list some dark horse teams that could disrupt the top group, name the Frosh 59 players in attendance, and pick the winner. Let’s get to it!
